Why join

One of our big education activities that iGEM Eindhoven organizes each year is the Challenge Day. During this event, we invite students from regional high schools to experience what it's like to do biomedical research at TU/e. This year, the students will assist detective Luc N. in solving a murder mystery case. By solving biochemistry puzzles and doing lab experiments they'll figure out who the murderer is, what the murder weapon was, and where the murder took place. The results of their investigation will be documented on a poster that they'll present on a poster market at the end of the day. This way, the students get a real taste of studying and researching at TU/e.

Education

After spending my bachelor's end project in the lab, I hadn't quite gotten enough of lab work just yet. Combining that with the freedom of a project of our own and working with a team of my peers made iGEM very appealing to me. As Education Captain it's my role to share our passion in synthetic biology with the world and I am beyond excited to work on that during our project.
